Warehouse Manager

A fast growing ecommerce startup is looking for a hard working, highly motivated and independent Warehouse Manager for our Passaic, New Jersey, warehouse. You’ll be the leader of the Warehouse team and responsible for getting orders ready for customers quickly. This fast-paced, physical role will be responsible for selecting, packing and shipping orders in addition to effectively managing warehouse associates and meeting key operational metrics.

Successful candidates must be able to cut through ambiguity to improve internal processes and deliver solutions that provide customers with the best online grocery experience. You will be solving daily fulfillment challenges while focusing on efficiency, safety, cost, quality and customer experience. Must be able to problem solve and prioritize with little guidance and be comfortable making informed decisions with imperfect information.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Receive and put away inventory
Get customer orders ready and pack them up
Load boxes into cars trucks for shipment
Use scanners to read bar codes on products or read manually
Troubleshoot problems
Ensure product meets quality requirements

You'll also need to be able to:
Lift up to 49 pounds
Push utility carts up to 60 pounds
Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts
Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around
Operate forklift or pallet driver, and work at heights up to 40 feet
Go up and down stairs (where applicable)
Adhere to strict safety, quality, and fulfillment production standards

Basic Qualifications
Must have a High School diploma or equivalent
Direct management experience of employees at a warehouse, distribution or retail facility
Candidates must be flexible to work weekends and or evenings.
Ability to learn quickly and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Basic understanding of transportation / truckload operations
Demonstrated ability to use computer and wireless technology (especially Ship Station)
